Apples by Gail Gibbons

Now that it’s officially Fall, crisp apples and other Autumn treats sound delicious right now. Apples is a classic book, within the LitART LITE non-fiction collection. Gail Gibbons is an iconic non-fiction children’s author. Like so many teachers that use her books to teach non-fiction concepts, I know her books are great models to demonstrate text features, labels, and detailed diagrams for young readers. Young readers learn how apples are grown, different varieties, and how they have become part of the North American story and culture. I can already smell warm apple pie, can you?
